Dear Class of 2026 Families,
There are upcoming deadlines that require action from you for your senior to be included.
Both deadlines have been updated to Monday, April 6, 2026.
The February 20 Senior Newsletter shared the following information and it is included below:

Baby / “Through the Years” Photo Submission |
The annual Senior Video shown at graduation needs your photos soon for it to be created, edited, and completed. This tradition features each senior through the years, from baby photos to senior year.
Because this project requires significant time to create — and baby photos are also used for additional graduation activities and the yearbook — it is essential that photos are submitted on time.
So far, only 17 of 55 seniors have submitted photos. If you submit nothing, only the senior's composite photo and College Commitment Day photo will be included.

Deadline: Monday, April 6, 2026 |
Please upload and submit: |
- A baby photo
- An elementary photo
- A middle school photo
- A high school/senior photo (Please do not submit the composite photo, as it will already be included.)

You may adjust the “eras” as needed. If you prefer to upload fewer than four photos, that is acceptable. Every senior will have at least their name and composite photo included in the video.

Please name each file with your senior’s name, if possible.
- If you experience technical issues, email or share photos with Rachel.Cornelius@eku.edu.
- If submitting physical photos, students may bring them to Mrs. Cornelius in the Annex (Office #4124) for scanning and return.

Families have the opportunity to celebrate their senior with a personalized Yearbook Senior Ad. This is a meaningful way to honor your student’s achievements and commemorate their journey at Model Laboratory Schools.

Please note that you do not need to purchase a yearbook. Tuition already includes one copy for every student. Extra yearbooks may be purchased through the online store if desired.
The 2025-2026 yearbooks will be distributed early Fall 2026, and Class of 2026 families will receive pickup information at that time.

May 1 – College & Career Commitment Day *Student-only event
- Seniors will share their post-graduation plans.

Please ensure your student has a sweatshirt representing their next step after graduation.

May 4-14 – Senior Research and AP Research Presentations

Students will choose their times, and a final schedule will be available closer to the date of the presentations.

May 12 – Secondary Academic Showcase

May 19 – Senior Banquet, 6:00 p.m., EKU Keen Johnson Building

This event recognizes the academic, athletic, and service achievements of the Class of 2026.

May 21 – Senior Walk, 8:15 a.m.
- Seniors will take their final walk through the halls of Model.
- Parents are invited to attend. Donuts will be available afterward.

May 21 – Graduation Practice *Mandatory (after Senior Walk)

May 22 – Graduation and Commencement Ceremony, 7:00 p.m., EKU Center for the Arts

Please note that students must complete all graduation requirements (passing grades, required coursework, service hours, and participation in a club or sport each year at Model) in order to walk in the ceremony and receive their diploma. More specific information will be provided at a later date.
